Yesterday, while I was just sitting at my desk minding my own business, doing my work like I should, when I suddenly felt very dizzy. It was like my chair was on a moon bounce and there were a ton of kids bouncing around. Then I felt sick. Then I got a headache.
The headache is still here, and I'm crazy sore in my neck and shoulders. And every now and then I still get kind of dizzy.
Phoenix thinks I have an inner ear infection. That means doctor. And likely some drugs. And maybe some other not fun stuff.
I don't want to go to the doctor. Though, it is about time to get the follow up to see the progress from all those damn pills she put me on this summer.
My head hurts. I'm going to bed.

An inner ear infection is typically viral, comes on suddenly, and then improves over 7-10 days. I usually just give meclizine (antivert. a sea-sickness medicine, which is just an antihistamine) for this. I think you can even get it over the counter. Bed rest is the best thing for vertigo (the dizzy feeling).
You can try that, but if it's not getting any better in a week, or if it's getting worse, I'd see your doctor.
It might also be the flu--sometimes that comes on with a headache and muscle aches, and we've been seeing a LOT of swine flu. Sinus infection and possibly viral meningitis are also in the differential. If you start having high fevers, definitely see your doctor. Laurel
Thanks, Laurel! I talked to my roommate again, who also mentioned it could just be sinus congestion (from which I very very rarely suffer, but that doesn't mean it's not possible). The weather has been funky here and a lot of people have sinus complaints right now. She gave me an antihistamine before I went to bed and I slept quite a bit better than I have. The headache is significantly duller today as well. I'll stop by the store later and get a supply for me. If that doesn't improve matters in some days, then I'll entertain going to the doctor again.
