Pondering

I just watched a squirrel jump from the tiniest twig of our great oak to a tree in the neighbor's yard some 2 or 3 feet away. He thought about it, turned around to go back, then turned back around and took a mighty leap.

I wonder if there is a message there. Maybe to remind us to take chances. Even when it looks like it may not be worth the risk, you just might land with a firm grip.

What chance are you thinking of backing out on today?

I thought about not going for my bike ride, and I am so glad that I did.

Incredible post!

Now, this is unbelievably amazing.

Sitting here some time later, I see this little squirrel. Fearless and without hesitation, he runs out to the edge of that same tiny branch and leaps. It was a leap of confidence, no doubt or uncertainty. He made that jump and knew he would make it. There was a certain kind of glee in the way he threw himself at the tree in the neighbors yard.

It doesn't seem quite so bad now that you know you can do it, does it?
